I'm Phoenix, a 11 yr old Red Front
Macaw. My hatchday is Sept 14th,1998. Before I came here I
had 2 homes one was with a nice lady that really loved me. Then she
got another Macaw bigger then me and she put us together in the same
cage. That was until it almost killed me, you can see by my white
patches that my feathers still don't come in like they should. Then I
was sent to live with a different guy, he kept me in a little cage in
the basement until he took me to the bird fair to find me a new home.
When Michelle got close enough to me, I leaped a little and landed
right on her shirt. Boy did I luck out that day, little did I know
that she had no will power to say “no” to birds in need and I was
going to get to go home with her. I socialize a little bit with
Charlie now,but Mom doesn't let me play with the other birds, because
I always try to hurt them because that other Macaw hurt me.

Hi I'm Charlie,a Red Front Macaw. I'm 7
yrs old, my hatchday is May 13th,2002. I lived in a pet
store and Mom used to come visit me all the time. It took about 6
months for her to get Dad to come see me and then he was hooked, so I
got to come to my new home. They thought I would be a good friend for
Phoenix, but when I first came here she only wanted to be mean to me.
She has gotten better over the years, but we still aren't best
friends. I think she is just jealous that I'm younger and prettier
then her.
