Hi my name is Sammy, I'm a Harlequin Macaw. A Harlequin is a cross between a Blue and Gold and a Greenwing. I'm 6 yrs old, my hatchday is March 13^th, 2003. I lived in a pet store for awhile until they went out of business,then a nice lady bought me and took me home. She had a house full of Cockatoos, so she knew her home wasn't the best place for me to live. Her and Mom talked about it and I came to live here and Chiefer went to live there,I'll let Chiefer tell you her whole story later. I'm real glad I came here to live because I got to meet the man of my dreams, Ha. I love it when Mom lets us have time out to preen each other and just hang out.

Hi I'm Ha, my real name is actually Haas, I was named after a bakery beside the pet store I lived in. I'm 10 yrs old, my hatch day is October 6^th,1999. I lived in a pet store for about a year after I was weaned. Michelle and John just lived down the street so they would come and visit me all the time. They really wanted to take me home, but the the apartment they lived in was already full of birds. I became good friends with one of the guys who worked at the pet store and he finally bought me and took me home. I lived with him for about 4 yrs before he needed to rehome me, so he took me back to the pet store. Michelle and the boys came in the pet store and saw me and fell in love all over again. They were after John all the time to buy me and bring me home, but he kept saying our house was full enough. Then one day Michelle and John stopped to get a bag of bird seed. I climbed up on John's shoulder and at the same time my Dad went up to Michelle and asked her to name her price because he really wanted me to go to a good home. John didn't have any choice, but to say yes because I wouldn't get off his shoulder when my Dad tried to pick me back up. Now I have two true loves, my new Dad and Sammy.
